This website is operated by Ray Francis, REALTOR® with Royal LePage In The Comox Valley, 121-750 Comox Road, Courtenay, BC V9N 3P6. It explains what personal information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is operated in compliance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's anti-spam legislation.

What is collected

  • Information you provide through the contact, evaluation, showing, listing-alert, neighbourhood-watch and newsletter forms: name, email address, phone number, property address and details, and the message or preferences you enter, together with the consent statement you accepted and the time you accepted it.
  • Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, referring page and the pages visited, used for security, rate limiting and to understand how the site is used.
  • Saved listings are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us.

How it is used

  • To respond to your enquiry, prepare a home evaluation, arrange a showing or send the listing alerts you asked for.
  • To send the occasional newsletter if you subscribed. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To keep the site secure and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping required of licensed REALTORS® in British Columbia.

Who it is shared with

Your information is not sold or rented. It is shared only with service providers who process it on our behalf (email delivery, database hosting, customer relationship management) under confidentiality obligations, with Royal LePage In The Comox Valley as required by real estate licensing rules, and where the law requires disclosure.

Listing data

Listing information is provided through the REALTOR.ca Data Distribution Facility (DDF®) of The Canadian Real Estate Association. When you view a listing, an anonymous view event may be reported to CREA's listing analytics service as required by the DDF® rules. No personal information is included in that report.

Cookies and storage

The site uses no advertising cookies. Browser local storage holds your saved listings and nothing else. Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap; their servers receive your IP address when tiles load.

Your choices

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent for future contact, by calling 250-898-9922 or using the contact form. Listing alerts and newsletters can be stopped with the unsubscribe link in any email.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
